How is global warming affecting public health?

Global warming itself is likely not affecting public health in any significant ways except possibly by creating a more hospitable environment for bacteria, viruses, etc. Many of these organisms thrive in tropical temperatures.

If there is any significant impact on health, it is likely to be found in the multitude of things that lead to global warming. In other words, things like CFCs are likely more detrimental to health than small increases in outside temperature.
