How is the fence between the US and Mexico affecting animals?

The fence between the US and Mexico to help stop illegal immigration is potentially causing migratory problems for many animals.  Some of the migratory paths go right through where the fence is, and it has the potential to be devastating to those creatures.  The fence could possibly be the end of jaguars in the US according to some experts, and wolves and blackbears would certainly be adversely affected.  Even insects would be affected because instead of pollinating plants, they would potentially be flying around the lights on the walls because they are naturally attracted to light.  While the fence may stop illegal immigration, it will also affect wildlife.
