How fast do glaciers move?

Glacier movement and speed is very dependent on the volume of ice in the glacier and the slope of the descent the glacier is making. The landscape and temperature are also factors that will vary the speed of a glacier.

In Greenland the glacier Kangerdlugssuaq was moving at a rate of 9 miles per year. This translates to 130.1 feet per day and 5.4 mph. This glacier is considered the fastest moving glacier in the world.
