Tiger sharks normally try to conserve energy by swimming slowly, but they have the ability to swim up to 20 mph (32 km/h)when they’re hunting for food or trying to catch something. They prefer warmer, tropical waters. They’ll also eat just about anything, making them dangerous to humans because they’ll bite to see if you’re edible.
