How fast can octopus swim?

The fastest way that an octopus can move is by jet propulsion. This method is only used in serious situations because it takes a lot of effort. “The octopus builds pressure by sealing off all orifices except for a path called the “funnel” or “siphon” and uses the thick muscles of the mantle wall to squeeze the water out the narrow funnel.” This propels the octopus forward and it can reach up to speeds of 25mph.
