The highest ever recorded speed on a mountain bike is 130.7 mph. It was achieved by Markus Stoeckl in 2007.
This really depends on the ability of the rider, the quality of the bike, and where it is being ridden. The World Champion Medalist Marla Streb tops out at 67 mph on a mountain bike; whereas Markus “Hercules” Stoeckl, a 33 year old Austrian man, broke the World Speed Record for mountain bikes, hitting a top speed of 130.7 mph (210.3 kmph) on his bike. This feat was made possible by riding on snow.
