The giraffe has recorded a top running speed of 34.7 miles per hour, or 56 kilometers per hour. When sprinting, the giraffe thrusts it’s front legs into the air and pushes off with its hindlegs, resulting in the giraffe being airborne for a brief time when in full stride.
Giraffes are really fantastic creatures and truly fascinating. A Giraffe can reach faster speeds than a lot of creatures found in their natural habitat. If they are prompted to gallop, a giraffe can run up to 37 miles per hour.
