How far reaching is the contamination from Hydrofracking?

I know it has disastrous effects on the environment, especially on the water supply, both in draining it and polluting it. I am looking to buy property in Lehigh County,Lynn Township, PA. I am trying to find a map of where this kind of drilling is or has been taking place and how far away property needs to be to be somewhat ‘safe’.
Thanks to anyone who can give me some answers.

There’s not much information about water contamination or drilling accidents available from the Pennsylvania DEP. The materials used in hydrofracking can be anywhere from the range of food additives to acids. Chemicals are diluted, so they shouldn’t pose a threat, but millions of gallons of water are used per well, so the chemicals can still be harmful.
