The Diamond Valley Reservoir is fed by the Colorado River Aqueduct. The aqueduct is 242 miles long and begins in Lake Havasu. From the aqueduct, water is fed into the San Diego canal and then into the reservoir forebay. Water is pumped from the forebay into the actual reservoir.
