Only some seagulls migrate, mainly ones who live in the far north. These migrating gulls have been known to travel thousands of miles in search of better food.

“In migration, most gulls follow the coasts, where they can fish in the sea or live on the bounty of human wastefulness on land.” Many travel thousands of miles, such as from Maine to Labrador. They take lots of pit stops along the way and have great topographical memories.
