Seagulls don’t have a limited distance of flight. Mostly when we see seagulls flying over the water, they are looking for fish or drinking water; seagulls have the ability to drink sea water unlike most animals.
It’s hard to say exactly how far sea gulls can fly, because you’d have to follow one across the ocean to make sure it doesn’t land. Sea gulls can take breaks while flying long distances by resting on top of the water, much like a duck. But sea gulls do have the ability to stay airborne for very long distances. Their wings are designed for gliding very long distances, so they don’t have to flap a lot and waste energy.
