Panda bears are not known for their speed, so it is not surprising that the fastest a panda can ever go is only about 20 mph, which is even slower than the generally accpeted human top speed of 30 mph. Bearing in mind, though, that this is top speed, a panda would most likely not be able to maintain it for more than a few seconds. Moreover, pandas are known for their incredibly low energy level, as well as their need to devote much of their time to eating in order to sustain what energy they do have; so it is unlikely that a panda would be inclined to move very far, probably never more than a couple of miles in the space of an hour.
