Adult kangaroos can jump as far as 30 feet and as fast as 40 miles per hour.
Kangaroos can travel up to 30 miles per an hour and leap as much as 30 feet at a time. Kangaroos hop because they are only able to move both rear feet together. Their large feet and tails help them stay balanced.
The longest recorded hop by a kangaroo measured in at a distance of 40 feet! On average, however, most kangaroos do jump distances of about 25 to 30 feet on a single hop. Vertically, they usually can make it 9-10 feet high and jump at speeds of about 20 miles per hour.
