Hurricanes can’t really be predicted. Meteorologists have to wait till they form as tropical depressions before they can track them. They predict the path by looking at it’s current trajectory and look at the weather patterns ahead of it. High pressure and low pressure systems can divert the path of the hurricane . But even with all this information the predictions are always tentative at best and the accuracy falls as you go further into the future.
