How is the EPA tightening emissions standards for ships?

    Emission standards have been set by IMO.  International Maritime Organization is a product of the United Nations.  The MARPOL convention is in charge of pollution by ships through the IMO.  Emission standards are handled in tier 1,2 and 3.  The standards as well as what has been achieved can be found on the following site:
