How is the environment effected by the ozone layer thinning?

The ozone layer has been a topic of much conversation and concern over the last decade.  The ozone layer is actually gas made up of 3 oxygen molecules.  This occurs in two layers.  These layers protect us from ultraviolet rays.  Therefore, the thinning of these layers is what causes the global warming, and eventually death.

Stratospheric ozone is important in referring to the “ozone layer thinning”.  Stratospheric ozone absorbs harmful solar radiation from the Sun–if this ozone no longer exists this solar radiation can reach the surface and harm humans.
