Catnip is an easy herb to cultivate in a home garden, or even in pots on a porch or patio. The plants require full sun and moist soil, but if those are provided they should be pretty simple to maintain. Catnip is a perennial, meaning that it will come back year after year once you plant it. For your cats, you can either harvest leaves and dry them out, or simply give them fresh sprigs.
