How does the Underwater Gallery in Grenada interact with the environment in any way?

By acting as artificial reefs, the sculptures provide places for organisms to colonize and take refuge, giving them a “home.”  More importantly, the artificial reefs give natural reefs a chance to regrow.  With so much media attention on the new sculptures, more tourism and visitors will be geared towards the artificial, giving the real ones a break, so that they are less disturbed.  Less disturbances mean less degeneration and more recovery.
