How does sleep affect the mood of a person?

    Studies show that sleep deprivation will lead to a alteration in mood. People report that when they do not get the recommended sleep cycle (8 hours) they reported feeling more stressed, angry, sad, and mentally exhausted. All of these contribute to ones mood. Effects can worsen by not getting the proper amount of sleep for a prolonged amount of time.
