The hydrogen bonds in water (H2O) break the ionic bond of salt (NaCl). Therefore, when H20 is evaprated from a salt water solution, the Na+ and Cl- ions attract one another and thus form NaCl.
you can also form salts from acid base reactions. For instance to create table salt, NaCl, the neutralization reaction is:
HCL + NaOH = H2O + NaCl
That means mixing hydrochloric acid (stomach acid) and sodium hydroxide (Lye) form table salt, water and heat.
