Unfortunately not all the effects of renewables are good for endangered species. Many of the new renewable energy types take much more land than the traditional power plant. Many solar farms are being put or are planned to be put in the Southwest desert right in the middle of Desert Tortoise habitat. Also wind farms can be very dangerous to migratory birds. That being said we need the renewable energy. I believe the best option is to carefully plan and place these sorts of renewable energy areas so as to have minimal impact on wildlife. Yes we need renewable energy farms but they don’t have to go in endangered species critical habitat.
