While there is very little research regarding the effects of plastic surgery on pregnant mothers, most obstetricians and cosmetic surgeons recommend avoiding procedures such as Botox. Donnica Moore, the president of Sapphire Women’s Health Group, says that she does not know of any definite risks, yet recommends not undergoing the procedure because there is no medical justification for doing it.
It is not healthy for pregnant mothers to take any unnecessary medication and surgeries. I would personally never risk something like this, especially when pregnant, unless it was a life or death situation. Additionally, even if there was evidence that it does not effect the pregnancy, do we really know this? What will we find out in the future?
