There are actually a lot of ways that the melting of ice caps is effecting Asia on different ends of the spectrum. In central Asia the are more and more drought seasons as the ice caps are melting, there is less to melt every year and they are heading towards water crisis and desertification is some regions. On the opposite side of things, the melted ice caps have added water to the ocean and rising sea levels threatens to flood thousands of people out of their homes especially in South-East Asia.
