Marble forms when Limestone or other sedimentary carbonate rocks are subjected to high pressure and heat, similar to how coal becomes diamonds. They are compressed into a crystalling structure that results in Marble.
I hope this helped!
Marble is considered to be a metamorphic rock, meaning that it’s previous form transformed under heat and pressure to create what it is today. Dolomite or limestone were the original rocks that, under the right conditions of heat and pressure, metamorphosed into marble.
