How does nature make crystals?

Crystals are formed when many molecules or atoms of the same type come together (whether by pressure, evaporation, chance, or some other method) and stack together in a highly organized way without having other molecules interact. Since each molecule is the same shape, it will stack into a larger crystal also of the same shape as long as other things don’t come along and interact with it.
