Although it’s hard to imagine, there are tribes of people in the Amazon that are practically untouched by the modern world. Recently, there has been speculation that these groups may be threatened by logging.
One of the dangers of introducing people and logging into these tribes is that they do not have immunities built up against diseases that may be spread into their area. Additionally, the hunt for certain kinds of wood by loggers may force these tribes out of areas that they have inhabited for countless years.
These tribes are also in danger from the pollution that comes along with logging such as increased C02 emissions, oil and diesel from the equipment, and erosion which increases run off and pollutes the water sources.
