Light is the color spectrum and vice verse. What we know as “light” is usually referred to as “white light” by scientists and contains the full spectrum of colors. The color spectrum becomes visible to the naked eyes when the white light is refracted by, for example, a prism or raindrops (which is what produces rainbows). So could say the intensity of the light being refracted will change the intensity of the color spectrum being produced as they are one in the same.
