How does a holographic image change?

The website referenced below has a great description of the different types of holograms. From what I can put together from reading several different descriptions is that a hologram is more of a recording made of light emitted from an object, rather than its reproduction on film. The light is then recreated on the film so the object appears to be in three dimensions. What looks like motion on the part of the object in the hologram is actually the viewer’s motion — that is, the view of the object from different positions the viewer may take.
