How does the Google Earth Engine track environment changes?

Google Earth Engine tracks environmental changes by comparing satellite images that have been taken over the past 25 years.  It uses the LANDSAT satellites, which are managed by NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey.  The Google Earth Engine is especially useful in monitoring the deforestation of the rainforests, diminishing water resources, and for tracking land use trends.
