The global increase in temperature has the potential to change the world’s wind patterns. These have stayed consistent for a long time and have a huge influence on the climate. For example, cities on the same latitude can have very different climates based on the wind patterns that bring weather to their area. A disruption in the wind patterns could cause another ice age because the winds from the north going south could change and bring colder weather to formerly warm areas.
