How does the environment recycle things?

The planet recycles organic waste by decomposing dead matter such as fallen trees, animals, or plants. These are broken down into what is essentially soil. From this soil new plants may grow and thus new animals may survive. It is a cycle and was natural up until mankind introduced synthetic materials that don’t break down unless given thousands of years.
