A single car does not release enough greenhouse gases to drastically erode the atmosphere. However, if you consider all the cars on the road each day, all spewing noxious gases out. Then you must recognize it as a major contributor to global warming. It affects the atmosphere in its damage to the atmosphere and Ozone layer from released greenhouse gases. Some of the gases emitted also contribute to air pollution, the kind that affects respiratory systems in negative ways.
Here are some of the gases that come out of a cars exhaust pipe:
Small amounts of Carbon Monoxide.
Small Amounts of hydrocarbons.
There are Nitrous Oxides and Carbon Dioxide emitted as a large percentage.
