‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away’ is a saying that refers to the fact that fruits and vegetables need to be eaten daily if you are to remain a healthy person.

According to the CDC, the number of fruit and vegetables you need to eat depends on your physical makeup. However, a general rule of 3-5 fruits and vegetables a day is what you need to eat to stay healthy.

Fruits and vegetables are low in sugar and provide the essential nutrients and dietary fiber your body needs to function optimally. They help to prevent the development of chronic diseases, such as cancer and diabetes in the body.

Apple has many health benefits and it is considered as a Superfood. Although it is a misnomer that only eating Apples Daily will Keep your Doctor away. We should have a balanced eating plan which involves all veggies and fruits. So Apple a Day is just fine is you get complete nutrition from other sources as well.
