How does acid rain affect our health?

Acid rain is no more dangerous to our health than regular rain. The harm caused by acid rain are not direct. What causes the harm is not the rain itself, but the particles that travel in it, or through the air. Inhaling those harmful chemicals like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen. Research has shown that increased levels of those particles in the atmosphere correlates with higher illness and death from heart and lung disease.
