How do you think that dinosaurs went extinct?

There are lots of theories about this. I tend to think that the K-T impact (which is believed to have formed the Yucatan crater) was the cause. That theory seems to be the most widely held among scientists.

The asteroid theory (same as the one mentioned above) seems to be the best supported one. Scientists believe that an asteroid 10 kilometers in diameter struck Earth 65 million years ago, leaving behind soot and iridium. The soot would’ve been the result of fires caused by the impact, and iridium is a rare element on Earth that mainly comes from space or the Earth’s core. I find that the evidence for the asteroid theory to be the most convincing.
