It is quite simple to make a homemade humidifier. All you need is a fan, a basin of water, and a towel or piece of clothing. Place the fan in an area of the room where you will not trip or bump into it. Position the fan so that it will blow either towards you or anywhere else in the room; however, do not point the fan directly at the wall because this can cause your wall to be constantly wet and/or mold. Next, find a hanging apparatus and a cloth or towel to hang 6 to 8 inches from the fan. Then place a basin full of water under the cloth and let the cloth soak up the water. Then turn your fan on and you have a homemade humidifier.
