The quenepa, or Spanish lime, is a tree-growing fruit with green skin similar to a lime and fleshy fruit surrounding one large seed similar to a lychee. Quenepa trees are well-suited to rocky or otherwise poor soils, but they are very sensitive to frost and cold weather. The tree should be protected with a blanket during cold weather.
Young quenepa trees need regular watering, but mature trees can do very well with little or no water.
