After doing some research, it appears that lime power is a favorite choice for dissolving pet feces. Although, the lime only speeds up the decomposing process and doesn’t technically dissolve it on its own. Also, the lime can be harsh on a cat’s paws and most people do not recommend using it in places where your animals tread. A good suggestion I heard was to use a septic cleaning solution such as RID-X. The problem here lies with the fact that it is another chemical which can be harmful if ingested by your cat. If you really want the poop to disappear, scoop it up and throw it away (in the compost preferably).
