According to Women Fitness, who released a Top 10 list of ways to boost the immune system, the overriding factor seems to be the things we put into and do to our body. It is very important to eat a well-balanced diet, full of fruits, vegetables and water. Regulation of vitamins and minerals, such as Vitamin C, zinc and calcium is also crucial to developing strong immune health. Good exercise and rest are necessary to the body, as is the avoidance of high stress environments, ingestion/inhalation of heavy metals (such as cadmium, lead or mercury) and substances which are bad for the body, such as alcohol, nicotine and excess caffeine.
