how do windmills work

  1. 0 Votes

Windmills work by utilizing the wind around the area of a windmill to rotate the shaft that the blades are connected to. The rotation of the shaft can produce electricity in modern windmills through wires connected to a generator. The shaft can be connected to other things in older windmills (such as a grindstone or a water pump) in order to provide energy to them.
