Human activity affecting swamps includes but is not limited to dumping, agricultural contamination, littering, and development. Polluting swamps and removing them or developing them are two different problems with different impacts, but each has enormous consequences for surrounding environments. Effects are studied mostly on a case by case basis depending on the affected areas.
