How do we know what is inside the Earth, past where we can drill?

    It’s actually possible to drill pretty deep. Beyond that, scientists infer from available information and make educated guesses where there isn’t any. Helpful clues include seismic measurements, gravitational measurements, and samples of rock brought to the surface from farther below by geological activity.
