Aside from finding a way to cease all forms of drug trafficking, one could run an eco-conscious cartel that uses local farms to produce their goods and employs bio-efficient vehicles to transport their goods.
Let’s be honest, as drug traffickers exhibit a flagrant disregard for law, society, and human life (given the homicide rates associated with the drug trade), I don’t think there’s any chance drug lords are going to make environmental and ecological conerns a priority. Their end game is profit – abundant profits. Implementing most green initiatives requires some significant spending, so greedy people aren’t going to do this on their own volition.
