How do solar trackers work?

A solar tracker is a device that orients payloads toward the sun.  Payloads can be photovoltaic panels, reflectors, lenses, or various optical devices.  Solar trackers are  used  to track solar or sun position.

In flat-panel photvoltaic (PV) applications are used to reduce the angle of incidence between the PV panel and the incoming light.  This will increase the amount of energy produced from a fixed amount of installed power generating capacity.
