How do solar storms affect the earth?

  1. 0 Votes

A big enough solar storm can overheat the Earth’s electric grid and knock out all electrical devices and communication. Such extreme storms are rare, but occur with regularity and scientists expect them to become more frequent beginning around 2013. Everything from minor items such as personal computers, to essential systems like air traffic control, could be affected by such storms.
