Solar-powered devices are fitted with solar panels that collect energy. Once the panels are fully charged, the device will work like an electrical outlet, operating in an efficient manner. Solar cookers work in two ways: they either concentrate the sunlight and then disperse the heat, or they trap and circulate the heat like a dutch oven.
Solar cookers either are powered by solar energy collected from solar panels, but more commonly by reflecting light inward towards a point of convergence. this point of convergence can generate a lot of heat, powerful enough to cook food. This design is simple enough that many people prefer to build their own solar cookers.
