How do snakes mimic venomous snakes?

non venomous snakes may mimic venomous snakes by appearance or behavior. For instance a coral snake is very venomous and has red, yellow, and black rings (in that order). The King snake, has red, black and yellow rings and is not venomous. People have had such a difficult time distinguishing the two that a simple rhyme is used to deviate between the two: “Red touches yellow, kill a fellow; Red touches black, don’t do jack”.
