They are both predators, prey, and fertilizer! Without snails, birds, fish, and many other animals would lose a significant food source. Also, snails mostly eat plants, which helps keep some plants from becoming overgrown and choking out other life forms (certain kinds of aquatic weeds and algae would, and do, sometimes take over), and, of course, when they die, they decay. In general, snails are an important part of the food chain, and one more thing that nature needs to stay in balance.
In addition to the ecological benefits of snails, the serum of snails is beneficial in reducing several skin conditions, including stretch marks, fine lines, acne, and wrinkles.
