How do smart appliances work?

  1. 0 Votes

Smart appliances work to reduce the amount of electricity wastage by the grid. Most have some sort of sensor to detect supply of electricity in the grid and keep demand matched with supply. That means the grid needs less back-up generators to deal with sudden surges in demand. Needing less back-up generators means less CO2 emissions and wastage in general.
