Sharks give birth in three different ways, depending on the type of shark. Some sharks lay eggs (cat sharks or bull sharks for example). Other sharks give birth (like the blue shark, the hammerhead shark, the gray shark, and the saw shark). And others, like the whale shark, the white shark, and the tiger shark hold their eggs inside their bodies for a certain amount of time, then the shells ‘hatch’ inside the mother shark. Immediately after the ‘hatching’ the mother gives birth.
